Divide into groups by riding ability. Most riders will be shuttled to the trailhead at Golder Ranch. No-drop rides led by Bell Joy Ride leaders assisted by the girls of el Grupo. Rides of appproximately 2- 3.5 hours. Return to Bicylce Ranch for free BEER, snacks and comraderie. There will be NO demo bikes available for this event--the demo drivers have all left for cooler climes! Fairweel Bikes and Pro Bikes are two shops in town that have mountain bikes available to rent. You must have a mountain bicycle, helmet and hydration--two water bottles or a hydration pack with at least 50 ounces of water. It will get toasty out there but it is manageable as long as we start early and stay hydrated--we live in a desert--it's all about adapting!
There will be a skiils clinic led by Martha Lemen, certified bicycle intructor assisted by el Grupo riders. This opportunity is limited to 15 riders on a first-come-first-serve basis. Expect 1 hour of skills training followed by approximately one hour of trail time. Skills training will include: basic bike set up, position on the bike, shifting and braking.
This event is limited to 60 riders total. Register now (FREE) and please cancel your reservation if your plans change!
Check-in from 6:30-7a with shuttles leaving at 7:30 to Golder Ranch trailhead

What to expect from the riding:
Golder Ranch is an access point for the 50 year trail and other trails in Catalina State Park. There are trails suitable for all levels of riding. Beginners can expect a mostly flat trail with small obtacles. Intermediate and advanced riders will encounter challenging climbs and descents with large boulders and roll downs. This is one of the most beautiful trails in Tucson!
